Jennifer L. Barton

My experience at RSP has instilled in me the critical importance of understanding the needs and priorities of each individual client. That understanding, coupled with my ability to collaborate and communicate with other attorneys in our office, has allowed me to deliver tailored client service and to maintain positive relationships with my clients.

My Background

My practice focuses primarily on the areas of real estate and corporate law. Throughout my career, I’ve worked with clients from virtually all perspectives of real estate transactions, including: purchasers and sellers, landlords and tenants, builders and developers, borrowers and lenders, condominium associations and investors.

On their behalf, I draft and review:

  • purchase and sale agreements
  • commercial and residential leases
  • escrow and title documents
  • loan and modification documents
  • assignments and subleases

I have significant experience in several areas of real estate, including traditional sales and purchases, short sale transactions, and commercial and residential development.

Beyond that work, I also counsel corporate and individual clients regarding corporate formation, contract negotiation, sales agreements and employment issues. Additionally, I have worked with individual and corporate debtors and creditors in complex commercial and consumer bankruptcy proceedings, debt collection, lien enforcement and foreclosure cases.
