Practice Areas: Real Estate Law

Larry Woodard has represented Fortune 500 companies, private developers, condominium associations, units of local government, investors, landlords, tenants, private REITs and syndications in the development, financing, leasing, zoning, acquisition or disposal of their real estate interests. Larry Woodard also counts as his clients a number of closely held corporate entities owning a wide ranging portfolio of real estate including suburban industrial properties, downstate office buildings, and urban retail centers. In his representation, Mr. Woodard addresses his client’s acquisitions, leasing, construction, management, and financing issues in his client’s day-to-day operation of their portfolio.

Mr. Woodard is an active member of the International Council of Shopping Centers, the Northern Illinois Commercial Association of Realtors and the Chicago Association of Realtors, as well as the real estate sections of the Illinois and Chicago Bar Associations. He has spoken or written articles on the subject of real estate law for the Chicago Bar Association, the Illinois State Bar Association, the International Council of Shopping Centers, the Southwest Association of Home Builders, and the Chicago Association of Realtors.

Mr. Woodard received bachelors’ degrees in both economics and philosophy, with distinction, from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. He received both his law degree and masters of law (LL.M.) in real estate from the John Marshall Law School. At John Marshall, he was a published Executive Board Member of the John Marshall Journal of Computer and Information Law.
