Michael J. Hriljac was born in Chicago, Illinois
on October 31, 1950. A practicing podiatric surgeon from 1979-1999, he
was admitted to the Illinois Bar in 1999, and is also a member of the
bar of the U.S. District Court, Northern District of Illinois. Dr.
Hriljac, former president of the National Board of Podiatric Medical
Examiners and the Federation of State Medical Boards, has been a board
chairman in the Illinois Department of Professional Regulation for
nearly a decade. Dr. Hriljac is an adjunct professor of Law at the John
