Andrés is a
partner practicing in the firm's Corporate, Healthcare, Commercial
Transactions, Mergers & Acquisitions, and International Law
practice areas. Andrés represents
professional healthcare institutions and providers, to include, but
not limited to, independent physician associations, medical management
companies, medical and dental practices, independent dialysis
facilities and durable medical equipment suppliers.
Andrés advises and represents corporate healthcare clients in
all transactional and regulatory matters, particularly in matters
relating to organization, facilities licensing, credentialing,
shareholder relationships, acquisitions, antitrust issues,
managed-care contracting, asset protection, and federal and state
compliance matters.
Andrés also represents
and counsels domestic and foreign corporate clients in general
corporate and corporate governance matters, particularly in matters
relating to capital formation (including private placements), joint
ventures, mergers and acquisitions, franchising, intellectual-property
licensing, agency and distributorship agreements, trade finance, and
export licensing & controls.
Andrés is admitted
to the bar of the state of Illinois, and is a member of the American
Bar Association's, the American Health Lawyers Association, the
Illinois State Bar Association, Illinois
Association of Healthcare Attorneys, and the Executive Licensing
Society.
Andres is the co-chairman of Illinois
in Motion, a coalition fostering spinal cord injury cure
research funding, and in that capacity Andres' advocacy before the
Illinois legislature in the 2000 and 2005 legislative session was
instrumental in the passage of spinal cord injury cure research and
stem cell research funding legislation.
Andres was recognized as an
Illinois
"Super Lawyer" for 2005, in a survey of the state's lawyers.
